‘Pace in a Box’ Webinar
Would your municipality like to promote climate action, create local economic opportunity, and help your homeowners save money? Join our webinar to learn more about PACE in a Box, a new FPEIM program being planned for 2026. The webinar takes place Thursday, July 24, 10-11 am.
FPEIM is working to develop a turnkey service that will enable FPEIM members to offer a Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) program to their residents. PACE programs allow homeowners to access financing for energy upgrades — such as heat pumps, insulation, and solar panels — with no upfront costs. Financing repayments are tied to property taxes, making the loan transferable if the property is sold. This innovative model reduces financial barriers for homeowners and encourages long-term investments in energy efficiency.
The plans for the program build upon the incredible success of the Switch Charlottetown and Switch Stratford (PACE) programs.
Under the current plans for PACE in a Box, participating FPEIM member municipalities would receive funding and administrative support, making the program accessible to municipalities of various sizes and capacity levels. FPEIM hopes to begin with a pilot program and eventually extend the program to other FPEIM member municipalities across PEI.
By attending the webinar, you will gain early insights into what FPEIM is working towards in 2026 and how you can participate. Register here.
