The Federation of PEI Municipalities (FPEIM) will be offering a series of training sessions for Chief Administrative Officers (CAO) over the next three months. FPEIM recently contracted MRSB Consulting to develop and deliver the training program.
“This is an excellent opportunity for CAOs to build and strengthen the skills in municipal administration that support the important work they do every day,” says FPEIM president Bruce MacDougall.
This training is being offered at no cost and is ideal for current and new municipal CAOs looking to enhance their contributions to municipal operations and decision-making.
Participants will gain key insights and a robust understanding of best practices and practical applications in municipal administration. They will benefit from professional and technical advice on a variety of topics including communications, financial management, municipal law, and land use planning and development.
Participants will gain important skills to make valuable contributions in the workplace and expand and strengthen working relationships with other CAOs through the following sessions: CAO and Council – Roles & Responsibilities; Effective Meetings, Public Engagement and Communication; Municipal Law; Municipal Financial Management; and Land Use Planning and Development Control.
